Welcome to Chezmelle, the style diary and blog of two a-typical design students attending the Fashion Institute of Technology.
To us, personal style is an art. Design school teaches you the necessary tools to succeed in the mechanics of your art, but originality and flair is something that must come from within. We work our hardest at the technicalities of our designs, but we also pour our hearts into the aesthetics of the pieces we create.
With this blog we are sharing the art of our personal style while showing the process behind the creation and our inspirations. On Chezmelle, we will be documenting our views on the city and fashion at a time in our lives where we feel accomplished in the way we dress but are still experimenting with the art of personal style.
We had worked alongside each other for some time before realizing the extent of our compatible design aesthetics. Melanie has a love for classicality and quality while Melissa supports all things modern and quirky. Combining the two seemed nonsensical, but in our case these two aesthetics merged seamlessly, thus Chezmelle was born.
